Women's Cross Country Place Fourth at ODAC Championships

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The Bridgewater College Women's Cross Country team finished fourth with 114 total points Saturday afternoon and the 2017 ODAC Cross Country Championships. Washington and Lee repeated as champions for the third straight year with a score of 34.

Bridgewater had three runners finish in the top 30 and two runners earn all-conference accolades.

Sophomore Calista Ariel was Bridgewater's top runner. Ariel finished fifth overall with a time of 22:21.93 for a spot on the All-ODAC team.

Junior Jenna Rea finished 13th at 22:42.27, good for a place on the All-ODAC second team list.

Freshman English Jackson was 29th overall and crossed the line at 24:08.46 and senior Emily Young was 43rd overall with a time of 25:09.69.

The Eagles will continue their postseason on Nov. 11 at the NCAA S/SE Regional Championships hosted by Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va.
