Game one: Emory & Henry 12, Bridgewater 9
The Eagles offense banged out 13 hits during the first game of the conference doubleheader, but it wasn't enough to overcome Emory and Henry (12-16, 5-3 ODAC) in a high-scoring contest.
Bridgewater (6-18, 1-5 ODAC) got on the scoreboard quickly with four runs on four hits in the first inning.
Each run was produced by a single as senior Brooke Throckmorton smacked a two-RBI single to shortstop, freshman Mikalia Guard plated senior Brianna Cox on a single to left field and freshman Carlita Tibbs singled up the middle to bring Throckmorton home.
The Wasps responded with five runs in the bottom of the first to claim the lead. E&H scored its first run on a wild pitch, then plated four more runners with a single, double and two-run homer.

Emory & Henry began to pull away in the bottom of the third inning by adding four runs on a wild pitch, sacrifice fly, grounder and a single to shortstop. The Wasps then padded their lead in the fifth after a two-RBI double from Caley Hodge created an 11-6 margin.
Nonetheless, the Eagles continued to battle in the top of the sixth. With the bases loaded, Cox drew a walk to bring home freshman Allison Patrick and Throckmorton batted in Victoria Gontarz to cut the deficit, 11-8.
The Wasps added an insurance run in the bottom sixth as Danielle Loving hit an RBI single up the middle and held BC to one run, two hits and three left on base in the seventh.
