WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Bridgewater College men's swim team beat Gallaudet with a score of 197-47, on Friday evening.
The meet got under way with Bridgewater taking the victory in the 200 Yard Medley relay. The two BC teams finished within hundredths of a seconds of each other, with Travis McCauley, Thomas Rose, Cullen Beach and Eric Wilbur winning (1:48:38). Following that team in second place (1:48.87) was Jack Cataneo, Richy Romero, Ryan Cunningham and Luke Wintersgill.
Individually, Ean Helmlinger took home the victory in the 1000 Yard Freestyle clocking in at 10:35.97.
Wilbur won the 100 Yard IM (59.34), 50 Yard Breaststroke (29.68) and 100 Yard Freestyle (55.98). McCauley won the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:57.53), and 50 Yard Butterfly (25.64). Cunningham won the 100 Yard Butterfly (56.85).
Beach won the 100 Yard Backstroke (57.81). Christian Meza was victorious in the 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:09.10), and Wintersgill won the 200 Yard IM (2:11.63).
Next up for the Eagles, a home meet with Randolph on Saturday Nov.13, action is slated for 11:00 a.m.
