AMHERST, Va. – The Bridgewater College Equestrian team picked up its first ever NCEA victory today in competition against Sweet Briar, winning 5-3.
Both teams picked up two points in fences. Caroline Warren riding Dorado, and Emily Nuthall, riding Cardino picked up the points for BC, with scores of 81 and 82. The Eagles held a raw point advantage of 307-294.
In flats, the Eagles earned three points to Sweet Briar's one. Kelsey Quinn riding Bella earned a point, Warren riding Jakson earned one, and Nuthall riding Dance earned BC's final point. The Eagles held a raw point advantage in flats, 279-265, and earned the 5-3 victory.
Bridgewater is back in action tomorrow, Nov. 13 at Sweet Briar where they will take on Sacred Heart University.
