SEWANEE, Tenn. - The Bridgewater College equestrian team dropped their season opener to No. 3 Sewanee 5-3 on Saturday.
Kelsey Quinn opened the day for Bridgewater by winning her point in the flat and even earned Most Outstanding Performance for the event.
Caroline Warren also secured her point in the flat for BC. The Eagles outscored the Tigers in the flat after Ellie Weinreb secured her point to give BC a total 3-1 advantage.
In fences it was a different story though as the Tigers secured all four points to secure the victory.
Emily Nuthall put together the highest scored performance for BC in the meet with a 78.0 in her performance in the fences.
Delaney Broderick scored a 74.0 in her collegiate debut in the fences.
The Eagles return to action on Oct. 29 as they travel to Dartmouth at 10 a.m.
