SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Bridgewater College equestrian team fell to Lynchburg in the Consolation round of the ECAC tournament, 5-3, on Saturday morning.
Kelsey Quinn earned the loan point for Bridgewater in Fences with a 90-78 victory over Jacqi Needle riding Fresco. Emily Nuthall and Caroline Warren fell in tight match ups, Nuthall losing by three and Warren by two. The Eagles were outscored in Fences 323-215.
In Flats, Casey Poe riding Mulligan and Nuthall riding Taco each earned BC a point. Flats finished with a 2-2 point split. The Eagles earned 295 raw score points in Flats, but it would not be enough to catch up to the Hornets.
Poe won Most Outstanding Player in Flats and Quinn won it in Fences.
The Eagles will look ahead to the ODAC Championship on Sunday, April 3 in Lexington Va.
