BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's tennis team picked up a 9-0 win over Trinity University Washington on Friday evening.
Emma Nesselrodt and
Emily Wylie occupied the top spot in doubles action and picked up an 8-2 victory.
Jolexie Whetzel and
Grace Knighton teamed up at the No. 2 spot and picked up an 8-0 victory in just under half an hour.
In singles play Knighton saw action at the top slot with a 6-0, 6-0 victory. Wylie picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 2 slot while Whetzel dropped just a single game in her 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3
Emma Staton grabbed a 6-0, 6-1 victory at the No. 4 spot and
Raea Crabill did not drop a game on her way to a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5.
The Eagles are back in action tomorrow, Saturday Oct. 7 at the Golden Acorn Invitational hosted by Mary Baldwin.
