YORK, Pa. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team competed in the first day of the Spartan Splash Invitational hosted by York College.
Travis McCauley,
Thomas Rose,
Andrea Cibrario and
Connor Cayer competed in the 200-yard freestyle relay and took second with a combined time of 1:24.94 just milliseconds from the top spot.
Cayer grabbed a new record time of 20.63 in the 50-yard freestyle McCauley followed in second clocking a 21.55.
Ean Helmlinger grabbed second in the 500-yard freestyle being timed with a 4:47.13 two second away from the number one position.
Tommy Ronayne grabbed first in the 200-yard IM registering a time of 1:54.06.
In the 400-yard medley relay
Jose Urdaneta,
Luke Wintersgill, Cibrario and Cayer took home the top spot registering a 3:28.86 on the clock.
The Eagles firmly hold the number one spot after the first day accumulating 277.5 points, while York College (266) and Hood College (196.5) hold the two other podium spots.
Bridgewater is right back in the pool tomorrow for day two starting at 11 a.m.
