YORK, Pa. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team concluded its weekend taking first place at the Spartan Splash Invitational hosted by York College.
The 1,650-yard freestyle saw
Ean Helmlinger placing first with a time of 16:40.78 scoring 20 points for the Eagles.
Andrea Cibrario took home a win in the 200-yard backstroke being timed at the 1:53.20 mark.
Connor Cayer edged out his opponent, by 39 milliseconds, in the 100-yard freestyle to claim first timing a 46.10.
Luke Wintersgill picked up another individual win in the 200-yard breaststroke being clocked with a 2:08.50.
Tommy Ronayne closed out the individual events with a win in the 200-yard butterfly recording a 1:55.49.
BC finished the meet out in style claiming first in the 400-yard freestyle where
Travis McCauley, Helmlinger, Cibrario and Cayer registered a 3:07.26 finish.
Bridgewater accumulated 925.5 points during the three-day event. The hosting Spartans grabbed second place racking up 893 points while Hood College took home the third spot with 555.5 points.
The Eagles will compete again in the new year when they will play host to Hampden-Sydney on Jan. 6 starting at 1 p.m.
