GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bridgewater men's and women's swimming teams wrapped up ODAC competition with a handful of honors.
Head Coach
Gwynn Harrison took home her first ODAC coach of the year honors following a historic season for the men's program. Harrison became the first coach in Bridgewater history to win the honor for men's swimming and the second to win coach of the year honors on either side of the swimming program at BC.
Andrea Cibrario grabbed first team All-ODAC honors after winning the men's 200-yard IM and additionally finishing second in the 200 yd backstroke. Cibrario became the first student-athlete in Bridgewater men's swimming history to win an individual ODAC championship.
Luke Wintersgill also took home first team All-ODAC honors after grabbing a second-place finish in the 100 yd breaststroke and set a program best time in the process.
Cibrario and Wintersgill became the first pair of swimmers to be named first team All-ODAC in men's swimming history.
Ean Helmlinger and
Kris Schultz took home third team All-ODAC honors after placing in the top six in respective individual events. Helmlinger finished fifth in the 1650 yd freestyle while Schultz finished 5
th in the 200 yd freestyle. They became the fifth and sixth people to earn such honors in program history.
On the women's side,
Isabelle Bauer and
Katelyn Wiglesworth took home third team All-ODAC honors after finishing fifth and sixth in respective events. Bauer finished fifth in the 100 yd freestyle and 100 yd breststroke while Wiglesworth finished sixth in the 100 yd freestyle. They became the 15
th and 16
th athletes to earn these accolades in the history of the program.
