  • In the fifth inning, McKenna Mueller and Sarah Wimer each reached base with one out before a Kaelyn Ramsey single loaded the bases. Jazmyne Smith stepped to the plate and crushed a grand slam to deep center field to give the Eagles a 6-2 lead
  • Brantley Swift came in and silenced the Pride's bats not allowing a hit over the last two frames.
  • The Eagles tacked on one more run in the sixth when Torrie Shifflett brought home Peyton Gregory with an RBI single.

Kathryn Thomas reached first on a throwing error by the Pride's second baseman allowing Cauthorn and Ramsey to score putting the Eagles in front 4-0 after the first.
  • Greensboro responded in the third with a leadoff home run by M'Kenzie Davis. This would be the beginning of the momentum swing as the Pride took control. In the fourth, Alexis Sox hit a double to left field bringing in Kassie Simmons. Greensboro scored three more runs in the sixth as French doubled to bring in Kailey Walker. Brooke Kinley singled into deep left field allowing the Pride to tack on two more runs and grab their first lead of the game.
