GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team fell to Guilford 9-0 on Friday afternoon in ODAC play.

The Quakers opened the match by taking all three doubles points, but not without a scare at the top spot.
Noah Hughes and
Matthew Leonard fell behind early but reeled off three quick games to draw back within a service break but ultimately fell 3-8.

In singles play,
Mark Gordon stormed in front at the No. 2 spot taking the opening set over Tye Sasser 6-2. The second set was much tighter, coming down to a late break by the Quakers to even the match at a set a piece. In the match tiebreak, Sasser prevailed 10-4.

Leonard battled at the top spot falling in two tight sets 3-6, 3-6.
Nicholas Arnold got the call at No. 6 and was able to get a few games falling 6-1, 6-2.

The Eagles are back in action on Tuesday down I-81 as they battle Washington and Lee. Action is set to start at 3 p.m.
