BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's tennis team grabbed an 8-1 victory over Hollins on Monday evening.
BC opened the match by sweeping the doubles action.
Grace Knighton and
Malena Hoover were first off the court with an 8-0 win at No.2.
Emily Daigneault and
Emily Wylie added an 8-0 win of their own at the No. 3 spot and
Emma Nesselrodt teamed up with
Ryan Roeber for an 8-4 win at the top spot to give BC a 3-0 lead heading to singles.
Hoover, Knighton and Wylie all turned in clean sheets at the No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 spots respectively with 6-0, 6-0 victories.
Roeber dropped just one game en route to a 6-1, 6-0 victory on court five and Daigneault had an up and down match on court two as she picked up a 6-0, 3-6, 10-7 win.
BC is back in action on Wednesday as they host Averett at 2:30 p.m.
