ASHLAND, Va. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team walked away with a 116-89 victory against Randolph-Macon in the team's regular season finale.
The Eagles began the day with a win in the 200-yard medley relay where the team of
Jose Urdaneta,
Luke Wintersgill,
Andrea Cibrario and
Travis McCauley timed a 1:37.36 finish.
Kris Schultz claimed gold in the 200-yard freestyle registering a time of 1:50.49 to just edge out his competition.
Zachary Erb picked up an individual with for BC in the 200-yard IM beating out his second-place competitor by five seconds, while also winning the 100-yard backstroke timing a 52.92 finish.
Cibrario finished with a time of 52.55 in the 100-yard butterfly to win the event.
McCauley came away with first in the 100-yard freestyle tapping the wall at the 48.07 mark.
Ean Helmlinger competed in the 500-yard freestyle where the junior grabbed the top spot with a time of 5:05.46.
To close out individual events, Wintersgill gave Bridgewater the win in the 100-yard breaststroke with the top time of 1:01.55.
The Eagles have a week off for preparation before traveling to Greensboro, N.C. for the ODAC Championships on Feb. 7-10.
