SWEET BRIAR, Va. – The Bridgewater College equestrian team fell to No. 1 Sweet Briar 7-3 in the inaugural ODAC Head-to-Head Tournament.
The Eagles picked up two points in the fences portion with Kelsey Quinn and Jimena Garcia Nunez recording wins against their opponents. Quinn, riding Winston, ousted her opponent 73.5-38.5 to secure the first point of the day. Nunez picked up the second point of the day beating out her competition with a score of 74.5-38.0.
Quinn, who was recently awarded ODAC Flat Rider of the Year, scored the only point for BC in the flat portion. She outdueled her opponent 86.5-68.0 while riding Diego. The Finksburg, Maryland native was also awarded her third Most Outstanding performance of the year in the event.
Bridgewater returns to action on Friday, April 13 for the ODAC Championships hosted by Hollins University.
