RUSTBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College Equestrian team dropped a tight contest to No. 1 Lynchburg 7-3 on Friday night.

Willow Wright and Margaret Brown got the Eagles on the board over fences. Each tallied an 83 to earn points for BC to make it 3-2 heading to the flat.

Brown tallied a point for Bridgewater with a 72 on the flat, as solid scores from MacKenzie Bungham (82) and Willow Wright (86) just narrowly missed getting BC on the board and mad ethings interesting against the top team in the NCEA Single Discipline ranks.

The Eagles are back in action on Friday Oc.t 24 at the ODAC Traditional Championships in Lexington.
