FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) has announced Tuesday afternoon Bridgewater thrower Mike Smith as ODAC Field Athlete of the Week. 

Last weekend, at the Randolph Wildcat Invite, Smith stood at the top of the leaderboard in both the discus and hammer throw putting up strong marks; with a mark of 46.81m in discus and a mark of 55.02m in hammer. 

Those marks place Smith well at the top of the ODAC marks list as well as recently updating his mark in the discus for the second-best mark in the south region. The senior thrower also is placed second-best in the region in the hammer and 27th best in the nation at a 55.57m result. 

The Eagles next prepare for the ODAC Championships this weekend in Harrisonburg, Va., on April 25-26.
