SALEM, Va. - Bridgewater men's swimming finished in a tie with Roanoke on the road with a 131-131 total score Saturday.
The men battled tough with a strong Roanoke squad, and the Eagles came away with some promising finishes including eight event winners.
In the 200-yard medley, Christian Carroll, Zachary Erb, Kaleb Erb, and Connor Cayer topped the leaderboard with a time of 1:37.78.
Zachary Erb had another strong outing in the pool with three individual wins in all three events competing in. Erb lit a spark after securing a first-place finish in the 100 Breast with a time of 58.22. Alessandro Nani also surged to the top of the leaderboard shortly after Erb for a second-place time of 1:01.45. Erb continued his winning ways, with first-place finishes in the 200 Breast for a time of 2:10.71 as well as in the 200 IM for a time of 1:58.66.
Additionally, three more swimmers earned first-place finishes. Christian Carroll placed first in both the 100 Back with a time of 53.82 and in the 100 Free with a time of 48.82. Connor Cayer showed out in the sprint event, to capture first with a strong time of 22.24.
To round out the day, Andrea Cibrario earned a first-place finish in the 200 backstroke for a solid time of 1:59.93.
The Eagles will next compete at home against Hampden-Sydney on Jan. 24 at 1 p.m.
