BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team fell to Washington and Lee 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
The Generals opened doubles play by sweeping the action and taking the doubles point. BC's best battle came at the top spot as
Piotr Wisniewski and
Corey Beshoar fell 2-6.Â
Singles action went much the way of the defending ODAC Champions as well. BC's best battles came at the No. 3 and No. 5 spots.
Will Wallis fell in a tight match at No. 5, 3-6, 2-6.
Paul Kasse had the Eagles' best showing on court No. 3. The rookie dropped the opening set 1-6, but battled back and thrillingly took the second, 7-6 (5). With the match already decided, it went to a match tiebreak. The super tiebreak did not disappoint either. Kasse battled until the end as he fell 7-10 in the deciding tiebreak.Â
The Eagles wrap up their fall season on Sep. 20 at Southern Virginia.Â
