GREENSBORO, N.C. - Bridgewater College men's swimming turned in a podium finish through day two at the ODAC championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center Thursday.
Zachary Erb quickly returned to winning ways at the conference championships as he earned himself a first-place finish in the 200-yard individual medley. On top of that, Erb received an NCAA invited time and an NCAA B cut consideration with a time of 1:47.61.
Also in the finals, the 200-freestyle relay team of Kaleb Erb, Connor Cayer, Z. Erb, and Christian Carroll landed a strong second-place finish and a new school record time of 1:21.47.
Christian Carroll and Connor Cayer scored in the A finals and claimed second and third place. Carroll broke the program record in the 50 free with a time of 20.44. Cayer finished closely behind with a time of 20.98.
To close out the night, Bridgewater landed a second-place time in the 400-medley relay with Christian Carroll, Zachary Erb, Kaleb Erb, and Connor Cayer. The men clocked a time of 3:16.67, also setting a new program record.
At the end of two, the men stand in third place among nine teams with 175.5 points.
The ODAC championships continue tomorrow, Feb. 13 for day three in Greensboro.

Kaleb Erb broke the 200 free record leading off the relay last night (1:44.55)
Zachary Erb got his invited time and B cut in the 200 IM- 1:48.64. Later in the finals, Erb broke his previous invited time from the morning session to land a blazing time of 1:47.61. Erb placed first in the event while also shattering his previous program record last season. He stands with the conference record.

In the 200-yard freestyle relay; Kaleb Erb, Connor Cayer, Zachary Erb, and Christian Carroll opened up the finals session with a strong second-place finish and just one second behind leading Washington & Lee. The relay team clocked in at 1:21.47, a program best.
Christian Carroll and Connor Cayer powered through in the A finals in the 50 free to claim second and third place times. Carroll broke the program record with a time of 20.44. Cayer followed milliseconds later for a time of 20.98.
