LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team opened the season with a 6-1 loss at Randolph on Saturday.
Randolph opened by taking the double point in dominating fashion. BC's brightest spot came at the No. 2 spot as
Logan Garner and
Levi Waidelich got on the board in a 1-6 loss.
Down 1-0, BC regrouped for singles, led by
Eli Entsminger and
Coree Nicely at the bottom two slots. Entsminger battled in a tight opening set before falling 3-6, 0-6 on court five, while Nicely got the Eagles' lone point. The senior picked up a commanding 6-1, 6-0 victory at the No. 6 spotÂ
The Eagles are back in action with their home opener on Wednesday against Pfeiffer at 2 p.m.
