LEXINGTON, Va. - Bridgewater College men's swimming rounded out the season opener in third place of nine total ODAC schools at the ODAC Relays, tying their highest finish ever in program history.
The men started the day finishing second in the 4x25 freestyle relay with James McCormack, Charlie Bradbury, Christian Carroll and Connor Cayer.
Then, the Eagles took second again in the 3x50 butterfly relay with Kaleb Erb, Colton White and Christian Carroll. After that, the Eagles took home the crown in the 3x50 backstroke relay with Carroll, K. Erb, and Zachary Erb, which was their third time winning in that event.
The men won again in the 3x50 breast relay with Alex Bae, Alessandro Nani and Z. Erb. The "B" team also swam in that event and placed seventh with Jackson Hankins, Charlie Bradbury and Colton White.
Bridgewater claimed their third title in the 3x100 IM relay with Z. Erb, K. Erb and White while the "B" relay finished faster than several "A" relays for a sixth-place finish.
The Eagles rose again to take second in the 200-medley relay with Carroll, Z. Erb, K. Erb and Connor Cayer. BC's "B" relay finished sixth with Brian Kustowski, Alessandro Nani, Eugene Spankie and Michael Deamer.
To round out the meet, the men closed with a second-place finish in the 200 free relay with Z. Erb, Charlie Bradbury, Caroll and Cayer.
The Eagles will next compete in a head-to-head matchup with Southern Virginia at home on Friday, Oct. 16.
