LEXINGTON, Va. - The Bridgewater College women's swimming team placed fourth among 10 ODAC teams at the ODAC Relays for the season opening meet. 

The women opened with a sixth-place result in the 4x25 free relay with Whitney Speeks, Noa Steven, Tessa Gorby and Nelle Hines.  

After that, the women took another sixth-place finish in the 3x50 fly relay with Gorby, McKenna Curry and Hines. Then, the 3x50 backstroke relay team of Anabelle Dragan, Steven and Mia Flory landed a fifth-place result as Mia Flory started with the first leg and clocked a best time in the 50 back of 29.31. 

Bridgewater finished the meet with a fifth-place decision in the 200 free relay with Flory, Gorby, Hines and Speeks.  

The Eagles will next compete in a head-to-head matchup with Southern Virginia at home on Friday, Oct. 16.
