Bridgewater Riders Place Second At Hollins

Michael Golinowski was the High-Point Rider at Hollins.

ROANOKE, Va. - The Bridgewater IHSA team had a strong showing Saturday, placing second overall at the Hollins University show.

Michael Golinowski started the day off strong with a win in Open over fences and a second place in Open on the flat. Those strong placings earned him High Point rider of the day.  Caroline Shipe earned a fourth place in Open over fences.

Laurin Watts had a solid jump round in Intermediate over fences and won the Intermediate on the flat class. 

Katelyn Dugan earned fifth-place honors in Novice over fences. Isabel Ammendolia had a strong showing in Novice on the flat.

Cailyn Leo had a great IHSA debut earning a first place in Advanced walk trot canter.  Michaela Jeuick earned a first place in Advanced walk trot canter which enabled her to point out of the division. 

Jessica Goodman ended the day strong, with a first place in the walk trot division. 

Bridgewater ended the day with 35 points, two points behind the championship University of Virginia squad. There was a three-way tie for third with 22 points between Randolph College, Hollins University and James Madison. Washington and Lee was fourth with 19 points, followed by Lynchburg with 16 points and Roanoke with points
