Eagles Receive Invite To IDA National Show

BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Bridgewater received one of the two at-large invitations to compete as a team at the Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) National Championship Competition. Lake Erie College will host the national show at the George M. Humphrey Equestrian Center in Mentor, Ohio.

Bridgewater is one of 12 teams competing for the IDA national team title. Riding for the Eagles in the team competition will be Melissa Lempicki (first level), Megan Heffernan (upper training), Jemma Constant (lower training) and Isabel Ammendolia (introductory).

The Eagles also received two individual wild-card entrants to the national show, giving the team a total of four riders in individual competition.

Natalie Ellis in first level and Constant in lower training won regional championships to earn spots at the national event. Earning wild card bids in individual competition were Lempicki in first level and Ammendolia in introductory.

The IDA national show will be held April 26-28.
