IHSA Riders Place Third At U.Va.

Jenny Searles was high-point rider at U.Va.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - The Bridgewater College IHSA team competed at the University of Virginia this past Sunday to close the fall semester season.  Bridgewater placed third with 23 points. Virginai was first with 38 points while Hollins and Virginia Tech tied for second with 28 points each. 

Kelsea Lallande started the day for the Eagles with a second place in Introductory for the team.

Next up was Britney Linick with a third as an individual with Cailyn Leo competing for the team in the Novice division. Jenny Searles was fourth on the flat for the team and second over fences individually.

Emily Nuthall had the ride over fences in Limit and was third.  Katelyn Dugan was third on the flat and sixth over fences for the team in the Intermediate division.

Michael Golinowski returned to the arena after missing three shows  and placed fifth on the flat and third over fences for the team in the Open division. Melissa Lempicki had her first win in the Open on the flat class for individual points.

Jenny Searles rode off against two other riders to win High Point Rider honors on the day.
