Melanie Vest enters her second season with the Bridgewater College equestrian coaching staff in 2019-20.

Georgia Osbourne qualified for IHSA nationals in 2018-19. Meanwhile, Melissa Lempicki became the program's first IDA national champion, and freshman Michael Golinowski won the prestigious IHSA Metropolitan Equitation Finals.

Vest returns to Bridgewater College after graduating from the College in 2015. Most recently she worked with Liberty University Equestrian where she was assistant horse show manager while also having responsibility for stable management and the management of student workers. Vest also taught kinesiology classes in classroom and in the ring.

Vest was also the head trainer at Red Hawk Farm in Lynchburg where she taught beginner to advanced riding lessons, including over fences instruction and coaching at shows. Vest created and instructed at summer equestrian camps held at the farm.

While a student at Bridgewater, Vest was a member of the IHSA team and was the fundraising coordinator for the Equestrian Club.

Vest graduated from Bridgewater in 2015 with a Bachelor of Science degree in communication studies.  She recently received her Master of Education in educational studies from Lynchburg College.
