FOREST, Va. - After racking up 18 points including a milestone, Bridgewater sophomore Eric Husselbaugh has been named the ODAC men's lacrosse Player of the Week.

Husselbaugh totaled 13 goals, totaling nine points in each of two must-win games for the Eagles. Bridgewater took down Shenandoah and Virginia Wesleyan, two of their biggest challengers for one of the final conference postseason spots.

In a one-goal, 15-14 win at Shenandoah, Husselbaugh had seven goals, two assists, and reached the 100 career point milestone in just his second collegiate season.

Bridgewater raced out to a 5-0 first quarter lead, with Husselbaugh playing a role in four of those goals. After opening the scoring, he assisted the first of two straight Connor McLean goals to make it 3-0. He then scored twice in a 67-second span to make it 5-0 with 1:29 left in the first. The Hornets edged to within three, 7-4, midway through the second quarter and Husselbaugh answered immediately with a crease dive despite a pushing flag on the play. He opened the third quarter scoring as well, and assisted Sean MacLeish's goal with six minutes left in the third that pushed the Eagles' lead to 14-6.

The ODAC's third-leading scorer would add six goals and three assists in a 16-8 home victory vs. Virginia Wesleyan. He gave the Eagles the lead for good at 2-1, and broke the other way following a VWU turnover to score with two seconds left for a 10-2 halftime advantage.
