BRIDGEWATER, Va. – Bridgewater College's Quentin Boric and Matthew Pagano earned spots on the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Men's Scholar All-South Region first team. Boric was named to the second team while Pagano was selected for the third team.
To be eligible for the Scholar All-Region team, student-athletes must be a junior or senior, start in at least 50 percent of the team's games and be an elite player as supported by playing honors and have at least a 3.30 grade point average.
Boric, a senior goalkeeper, was a second-team All-ODAC pick in 2018. He finished the year with six shutouts and a 1.05 goals against average. Two of the shutouts came in victories over nationally-ranked Lynchburg.
Pagano, also a senior, anchored a back line that produced seven shutouts and allowed just 20 goals in 2018. The Eagles posted shutouts in both the ODAC tournament quarterfinal and semifinal victories. Pagano was a third-team All-ODAC pick and was named to the ODAC All-Tournament team.
Boric and Pagano helped lead the Eagles to an 11-7-1 overall record and the program's first-ever appearance in the ODAC tournament championship game.
Boric holds a 3.63 grade point average and is majoring in communications, technology and culture.
Pagano, an information systems management major, holds a 3.34 GPA.
