BRIDGEWATER, Va. - York got on the scoreboard with a goal in the ninth minute Saturday afternoon and the Spartans never looked back on the way to a 3-0 men's soccer victory over Bridgewater College.

York scored all three of its goals in the first half and each score came off of a set piece opportunity.

Ethan Lassen put the Spartans on the scoreboard early when he finished off a corner opportunity that the Eagles' defense was unable to clear.

Another corner in the 28th minute led to York's second goal. Connor Oburn took the corner out of the air and scored on a header for a 2-0 Spartans lead.

York's final goal came in the 41st minute off a free kick. Tony Mosqueira took the kick and sent a cross toward the back post where Max Chamorro finished off the goal to put the Spartans ahead 3-0.

York held a 13-5 edge in total shots, including a 5-3 edge in shots on goal.

Bridgewater will look to pick up its first win of 2019 when the Eagles host Averett on Wednesday afternoon.
