Men's Swimming Adds Relay School Record at Friday Finals

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bridgewater College men's swimming team set a school record in the 400 medley relay at Friday night's ODAC championships session.

Benjamin Dillon, Tito Alcazar, Austin Bacon and Raphael Stanek swam 4:03.01 to place seventh overall.

The Eagles are in eighth place out of 10 scoring teams with 43 points (just 12 points out of fifth place).

Stanek, Bacon, Alcazar and Ben Williams were ninth in the 200 free relay in 1:39.85.

Dillon was 16th in the 200 IM finals, with a time of 2:19.16. Bacon was disqualified in the 500 free final after placing 12th in preliminaries (school record 4:58.47).

In Friday morning prelims, Williams placed 27th in the 500 free (5:48.10) and Stanek was 29th in the 50 free (24.46).

Events resume tomorrow morning with prelims in the 200 medley relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 100 back.
