LYNCHBURG, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's tennis team blanked Randolph College, 9-0, Saturday in ODAC action.
The Eagles had little trouble in sweeping the doubles action. Canon Secord and Matthew Gordon defeated Brandon Braud and Karson Healy 8-2 at the No. 1 spot. At No. 2, Freddie Roberts and Sonet Gandhi turned back Alex Kulvivat and Andrew Webb, 8-3. Bridgewater's Nicholas Kiser and Robert Williard defeated John Coffron and Jose Merhej, 8-0.
The Eagles won all six singles matches in straight sets, losing a total of just eight games.
Secord defeated Kulvivat 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 while Gordon downed Healy 6-3, 6-0 at the No. 2 singles. At No. 3, Roberts downed Braud 6-1, 6-0 and Gandhi won at No. 4, defeating Webb 6-1, 6-0. Kiser blanked Merhej 6-0, 6-0 to win at No. 5 and Williard defeated Coffron 6-0, 6-3 at No. 6 singles.
