Womack, Meador Take First In Long Jump At Roanoke Final Qualifier

SALEM, Va. - Seniors Davonta Womack and Tye Meador each took home first place in the long jump at the Roanoke Final Qualifier on March 2.

Womack jumped 6.90m/22'7.75". His mark was over a foot further than the second place finisher.

Meador jumped a 5.53m/18'1.75". Her mark was nearly two feet more than the second place finisher.

Freshman Destiny Neff also competed in two events. She finished third in the 60 meter sprint (8.35) and second in the 200 meter dash (31.23).

The Eagles now wait to see which athletes will qualify for the 2019 NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston next weekend.
