BOSTON, Mass. - Jamie Hiegel established a new Bridgewater record in the 5K while Calista Ariel made her mark at the top of the Bridgewater books in the 3K at the Tufts Final Qualifier in Boston on March 2.
Hiegel took second with a time of 14:46.97 in his only event of the day. He replaces his own record of 14:54.53 that he set just a week ago at the ODAC Championships.
Ariel won her only event, clocking in at 10:15.00 in the 3K. The time was fifteen seconds faster than the second place finisher. Like Hiegel, she breaks her own record of 10:18.54 set at the Bast-Cregger Invitational earlier in the season.
The meet concludes the Eagles indoor regular season. The team now waits to see the final qualifiers for the NCAA Indoor Championships in Boston next weekend.
