Hiegel and Womack Named All-Americans; 4x100 Relay Advances to Finals

GENEVA, Ohio. - Jamie Hiegel finished fifth in the 10,000 meters and Davonta Womack placed sixth in the long jump at the NCAA Outdoor Nationals to earn All-American honors.

Hiegel finishes his career with his first All-American award after clocking in at 30:32.28. The senior has cemented himself as one of the top distance runners in Bridgewater track and field history. 

Womack picked up his third career All-American award and first in the long jump (7.41m/24'3.75"). The senior will compete again tomorrow, May 24, in the 100 meter dash prelims.

The Eagles 4x100 meter relay team of Womack, Diante Cannon, Dirk Jones and Alex Galloway finished seventh overall in the prelims to advance to Saturday's final (41.33). The top two teams from each heat plus the next five best teams advanced to the final.
