Eagles Place Seventh At ODAC Men's Cross Country Championship Meet

ROANOKE, Va. - The Bridgewater College men's cross country team placed seventh Saturday at the ODAC Championship Meet hosted by Roanoke College at Green Hill Park.

Noah Howell crossed the finish line in 23rd place to pace the Bridgewater men. Howell finished the 8K course in a time of 26:32.1. Vincent Leo was the second Eagles' scorer, placing 30th with a time of 26:53.1.

Kenny Sullivan was close behind Leo, placing 36th with a time of 27:07.5. Andrew Broemmel was next in line for the Eagles, finishing in 41st place in a time of 27:28.7. Eric Farrell was the final scorer for the Eagles, posting a time of 29:12.9 to place 77th overall.

Also running for the Eagles were Alex Hulleman in 81st position with a time of 29:25.1 and Lance Painter, 94th overall with a time of 30:45.1.

The Eagles finished the meet with a team score of 174 points.

Washington and Lee placed all five of its counters inside the Top 10 to claim the team title with 31 points, just ahead of Lynchburg with 39 points.

Lynchburg's Maximillian Sparks claimed the individual title, crossing the finish line in 24:44.1. Sparks finished 15 seconds ahead of second-place runner Daniel Cope of Washington and Lee.
