Bobby Humphrey enters his second season on the Eagles' staff and will work with the team's catchers.
The Eagles returned to the ODAC playoffs in 2019 for the first time in five years, with an overall record of 23-17. Bridgewater earned at least a split with all but one team in the conference, including wins over #6 Lynchburg and Randolph-Macon. Katrina Martin and Stephanie Carroll earned All-Conference recognition.
Humphrey has 16 years coaching experience, including two stints as a high school varsity baseball head coach and four years as an assistant baseball coach at Southern Virginia University. He has been a lead speaker and catching instructor at various camps and clinics around the country. He also authored a book about catching titled The Tools of Greatness.
Humphrey was a four-year letter-winner as a catcher at NAIA Spring Arbor University in Michigan.
He has been an associate scout with the New York Mets since 2009.
