Swim Teams Have One Session to Go at ODAC Championships

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Bridgewater College swimming teams have one session to go at the 2019 ODAC championships, following Sunday preliminaries.

Kelley Hilliker swam a school record 2:13.43 in the 200 back, placing sixth and qualifying for finals along with three teammates: Amanda Nesselrodt (13th, 2:25.22), Kaitlyn Hilliker (15th, 2:26.38) and Morgan Beauregard (16th, 2:29.34).

Rachael King was sixth in the 200 fly prelims, missing her own school record by a hundredth of a second after touching in 2:18.46. Jessica Touve (eighth, 2:25.81) also made the A final, while Genevieve Young (11th, 2:27.58) will contest the B final.

Jenna Walmer (2:43.35) qualified in 13th for the 200 breast. Fellow senior Phoebe Hart (3:11.94) was 18th.

Competing in the 100 free were Emma Daw (21st, 57.51), Taylor Berard (24th, 1:00.34), Jessy Wilson (25th, 1:01.50) and Lexi Lease (29th, 1:06.19); and Raphael Stanek (26th, 54.79) for the men.

Two men qualified for individual finals- Benjamin Dillon in the 200 fly (13th, 2:15.82) and Tito Alcazar in the 200 breast (16th, 2:35.47).

In the 1650 free, Ben Williams swam 21:25.20 for the men. Laurel Glover (20:08.44) and Kaitlyn Hilliker (20:14.44) competed for the women. Results will be finalized after Sunday night's seeded heats.

The women's 400 free relay team will be seeded sixth tonight and the men's group will be seeded ninth.
