Women's Swimming Places Fifth at ODAC Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's swimming team placed fifth at the season-opening ODAC Relays meet.

The Eagles placed seventh in two events and eighth in two others, with Olivia Heeb-Wade and Zoe Moore each involved in three of those top finishes.

The duo teamed up with Rachael King to place seventh in the 3x50 breaststroke (1:47.58), and with Genevieve Young and Kaitlyn Hilliker to finish seventh in the 50, 100, 150, 200 Relay (5:15.15).

Heeb-Wade, Moore, Young and King were also eighth in the 200 free (1:51.90). Amanda Nesselrodt, Hilliker and Lauren Kokoski placed eighth in the 3x50 backstroke, in 1:34.75.

Bridgewater placed 10th in four different events. That included the 3x50 butterfly (Young, King, Hilliker; 1:31.59), 400 free relay (Heeb-Wade, Young, Moore, Nesselrodt; 4:06.31), 200 medley relay (Nesselrodt, Heeb-Wade, Young, Moore; 2:02.91) and the 100 dolphin kick relay (Hilliker, King, Kokoski, Nesselrodt).

King, Hilliker and Kokoski placed 12th in the 3x100 IM, in 3:40.12.

The Eagles will kick off dual meet action on Friday at Lynchburg, in a double-dual with Mary Washington.
