Eagles Win Every Event vs. Ferrum/SVU

BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's swimming team won every event in a double-dual sweep over Ferrum (164-56) and SVU (165-61).

Kaitlyn Hilliker opened individual events by winning the 800 free in 10:55.13. Olivia Heeb-Wade followed with a victory in the 200 free (2:19.70)- just .16 seconds ahead of teammate Jessica Touve.

Amanda Nesselrodt (100 back, 1:14.32), Zoe Moore (100 breast, 1:22.94) and Rachael King (200 fly, 2:46.73) followed with event wins, with Moore adding a second victory in the 50 free (30.21).

Genevieve Young (100 free, 1:07.33) and Lauren Kokoski (200 back, 2:41.53) were added to the long list of BC event winners in the next two races.

King won her second event in the 200 breast (3:25.75), as did Nesselrodt in the 400 free (5:27.96).

Touve then won the final three events in a row- the 100 fly (1:14.75) and 200 IM (2:47.99), and the 200 free relay in tandem with Hilliker, Katelyn Dear and Moore (2:12.04).

Nesselrodt, Heeb-Wade, Young and King had opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, in 2:16.23.

The Eagles (6-3, 3-2 ODAC) will compete next weekend at the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jacket Invitational.
