Swimming Sets Four Records on Sunday at Yellow Jacket Invite

RICHMOND, Va. – The Bridgewater College swimming teams set four more school records, on the final day of competition at the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jacket Invitational.

Olivia Heeb-Wade had BC's best finish of the weekend, placing second in the 1650 yard free with a new school record of 18:27.11. Kaitlyn Hilliker also finished 12th in the event in 20:06.65.

Jessica Touve was 10th in the 200 fly (2:22.89) and Zoe Moore placed 17th in the 200 breaststroke (2:36.19).

The men, who had set school records on Saturday in the 200 IM, 400 medley relay and 800 free relay, added three more on Sunday.

Twin brothers Sean Cunningham and Ryan Cunningham narrowly edged program yardage marks in back-to-back races. Sean lowered the 200 breaststroke mark by .17 seconds to 2:25.62, before Ryan placed ninth in the 200 butterfly in 2:02.82- just .03 better that the previous record.

Ryan teamed with Austin Bacon, Ben Williams and Dylan Shannon for a new school record 3:40.14 in the 400 free relay.

Bacon had the BC men's top finish of the night with a seventh place performance in the 1650 free, in 17:21.68.

The women placed ninth of 12 competing teams with 284 points, while the men (180 points) were 12th.
