Eagles Wrap Up Season at Randolph-Macon

ASHLAND, Va. – The Bridgewater College women's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2019 season with a 19-4 loss at second place Randolph-Macon on Wednesday.

Anna O'Hara scored both first half goals for the Eagles, and Dwyer Neal recorded both second half tallies- giving the junior 99 goals for her career. O'Hara finishes her career with 158 goals- fifth most in program history. One of her goals was assisted by Kristen Stark, who finishes fourth in BC history in that category with 57.

O'Hara's first goal was assisted by Shannon Rogers, and tied the score at 1-1 early on.

The Yellow Jackets answered with nine straight, before O'Hara broke the run with 11:29 left in the first half.

RMC's Saunders Riley scored the first two goals of the second half to make it 16-2 Yellow Jackets, with Neal following that to break another streak for the hosts.

Mikaela Brooks made 15 saves in the cage for the Eagles. Neal caused two turnovers and also totaled three draw controls.

Randolph-Macon got multiple goals from seven different players, including hat tricks by Mary Castle and Riley.

Bridgewater finishes its season with a record of 4-13, 3-6 ODAC, and just one goal short of the ODAC playoffs after a 10-9 loss against sixth-place Virginia Wesleyan.
