Former Bridgewater All-American Darin Council joined the BC track & field staff as a throwing coach for the 2017-18 season.

Council earned All-American honors in the indoor triple jump as a senior, and was selected as the USTFCCCA South/Southeast Region Field Athlete of the Year.

As a junior, he was the ODAC outdoor champion in the discus and triple jump, earning All-Region honors and ODAC Athlete of the Week recognition in both the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Council, who graduated with a B.A. in Communication, Technology and Culture, is also employed at Bridgewater as an admissions counselor.
