Eagles Place Four On All-ODAC Women's Soccer Team

FOREST, Va. – Bridgewater College placed four players on the 2013 All-ODAC women's soccer team released today by the conference office.

Elizabeth Stump earned first-team honors while Melanie Waters, Julia Baca and Michelle Viegas were named to the second team.

Stump helped anchor an Eagles defense that posted the second-best goals against average in program history. Stump earned a first-team honor for the second consecutive season, becoming the first two-time, first-team all-conference player in program history.

Waters, a senior forward, was named to the All-ODAC second team for the fourth straight time. She was second on the Eagles team in scoring with six goals and four assists.

Baca, a sophomore, was also named to the second team at a forward spot. Baca started the season as a defender before being switched to the forward position where she led the Eagles in goals scored with nine.

Viegas, a sophomore midfielder, rounded out the Eagles' second-team picks. Viegas scored five goals and tied for the team lead in assists with five.
