Women's Track Competes At Liberty Open

LYNCHBURG, VA. - Three Bridgewater College women participated Friday on the first day of the Liberty Open.

Kaie Cummings finished with a best effort of 37 feet, 6.5 inches in the weight throw.

In the pole vault, Erin Parker cleared 8 feet, 10.25 inches and Jenna Stacy cleared 7 feet, 10.5 inches.

In men's action, Bridgewater's 4x800 relay team just missed the school record Friday evening at the Liberty University Open.

The team finished with a time of 8:15.60, just off the BC record of 8:13.55 set on the Liberty track a year ago. Running the event for the Eagles were Abe Rittenhouse, Ryan Speray, Tim Miller and Tim Wisniewski.

The Bridgewater track teams will return to Liberty on Saturday for a full day of track & field action.
