Senger Wins Discus at Swarthmore

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Junior Katelyn Senger led the Bridgewater College women's track and field team with a first place effort in the discus at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier on Monday.

Senger posted a throw of 41.39 meters (135-9ft) to win the discus, which was her only event of the afternoon. 

Sophomore Maryellen Hauver recorded a season-best time of 2:13.62 in the 800 meter, which ranks 37th among Division III competitors.

Senior Danielle Crist also completed the 800 in 2:25.23.

Senior Kristen Trice recorded solid efforts in both the triple jump and high jump. She leaped 11.07 meters (36-4ft) in the triple jump to place second and earned third on an impressive height of 1.64 meters (5-4.5ft) in the high jump.

The Eagles return to action on Thursday for their final last chance meet of the season at the Salisbury University Elite Meet.
