Valle Breaks School Record At Washington & Lee

LEXINGTON, Va. - Junior Emily Valle set a new Bridgewater record in the 100 meter hurdles at the Washington & Lee Track and Field Carnival. She ran a 14.80 for first place. The previous record was 15.24 set by Courtney Hartman in 2010.

Valle also took first in the 100 meter dash (12.50). Destiny Neff joined Valle in the 100 meter dash, taking tenth (13.59). The freshman also took 13th in the 200 meter dash (27.89). 

Freshman Kacee Hooker placed sixth in the 200 meter dash (26.76) and fourth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:08.71). Erin Fitzpatrick took eighth in the 400 meter hurdles (1:11.24). 

Tye Meador started her senior outdoor season with an 11th place finish in the 200 meter dash (27.43) and a seventh place finish in the 400 meter dash (1:03.51).

The 4x100 meter relay team of Meador, Neff, Fitzpatrick and Savannah Blake took fourth place after running a 51.83. Blake also finished tenth in the triple jump (9.97m/32' 8.5"). 

Nia Lloyd and Sydney Moseley led the throwers on day two. Lloyd took ninth in the shot put (10.05m/2'11.75") and Moseley placed tenth in the javelin throw (23.47m/77' 0").

The Eagle are back on the track next weekend at the Goucher College Track Classic in Towson, Md.
