Valle, Jackson Win at Elon Invitational

ELON, N.C. -  Emily Valle and English Jackson each took home a first place win to lead the Eagles at the Elon Invitational. The meet featured several Division I and Division II teams.

Valle won the 400 meter hurdles (1:02.18). Her time is currently first in the ODAC. Jackson won the 5,000 meters (17:55.45) by more than 20 seconds. 

Kacee Hooker also competed in the 400 meter hurdles and took 13th (1:06.86). Jenna Rea joined Jackson with a top five finish in the 5,000 meters in fifth place (18:38.22). 

Tye Meador placed fourth in the long jump (5.52m/18'1.5") to bring in another strong finish for the Eagles. 

Katie McElory finished 11th in the triple jump (9.84m/33'3.5") followed by Savannah Blake in 13th (9.80m/32'2). Blake also took 17th in the 400 meter dash (1:05.24).

The 4x400 relay team of Meador, Blake, Hooker, and Valle took fifth (4:05.84) for another top ODAC time.

Erin Fitzpatrick took ninth in the high jump (1.51m/4'11.5") and 18th in the 100 meter hurdles (17.03). 

Destiny Neff finished 24th in the 100 meter dash (13.29).

Sydne Moseley led the throwers with an 18th place finish in the hammer throw (38.57m/126'6") and 18th place finish in the javelin (24.86m/81'6"). Olivia Kloster took 25th in the discus (29.53m/96'10").

Bridgewater now turns focus to the ODAC Championships next weekend. The meet is hosted by Randolph.
