BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Victoria Wilson now sits at 1,503 career assists after picking up 43 in a 3-0 win over Piedmont International in their annual Dig Pink Game on September 25, 2018.
The Bruins pushed the Eagles in set one as the largest point differential was only four points. Bridgewater was able to maintain control and ended the set on a Wilson kill.
Piedmont International jumped out to a 4-1 lead in set two before a service run by Jenna Hamra gave the Eagles a 9-5 advantage. The Bruins tied it back up at 13-13 before the Eagles went on a five point run that included four kills from Rachel Gaston. A Bruin attack error gave Bridgewater the set and a 2-0 edge.
The Eagles found their rhythm and were able to run away with the third. Madison Haynes finished the match with one of her eight kills for the evening.
Gaston collected her eighth double-double of the season with 18 kills and 14 digs. Haynes and Nadia Valle both finished second with eight a piece. Taylor McNeely and Hamra picked up 14 and 10 digs, respectively.
The Eagles now sit at 12-2 on the year. They will face ODAC opponent Hollins University on September 27.
