BRIDGEWATER, Va. - The Bridgewater College volleyball team closed out the ODAC regular season with a 3-0 win over Eastern Menonnite on Friday night. Bridgewater jumped out to an early 4-0 in lead in set one with a Taylor McNeely service ace and kills from Allison Clark and Madison Haynes. The Royals tied it up 4-4 until the Eagles stormed out in front to take the lead. Wilson found her sweet spot with back-to-back setter kills before a Royal attack error ended set one.
The second set resembled the first as the Eagles controlled throughout. Rachel Gaston came alive at the end of the set, recording three kills. Deja Booker made the most of her senior night and ended the set on a kill to put the Eagles up two sets to none.
The Eagles ran away with the third and held EMU to just eight points. Gaston stepped up again in third where she recorded six total kills. Lindsay Olzawski ended the match with a kill to give the Eagles the win. With the win, Bridgewater has not lost a set on their home court since September 1st and has locked up the third seed in the ODAC Tournament.
